replacing rctimer osd with the 3dr osd

im going to replace the minimosd by rctimer with the original 3DR one
will it be plug and play replace ?
or should i do something ?
does the 3dr osd need a heat mod ?

the best i found is the older Version 1.1 minim osd (mine was the cheap Hobby King one)
do the mod for 5v which is just solder the 2 tabs and its done no more issues
mine hasnt missed a beat and no you dont need to change any settings changing the osd

I fried 3 others before sorting it out including the one thats not supposed to over heat

the osd is A very critical part if your FPV as if the video chip goes while flying you will lose your video feed so fully recommend doing the 5v mod
