Gimble direction?

Hello all.  Im having harx time finding a gimble that actually gimbals the direction of my Fatsharks. All the gimbles i see (other then the one i have and dont think is big enough for Gopro) mostly only pivot the roll and tilt which doesnt coralate with fatsharks looking lt and rt but works for up and down. Why is that? Nobody wants to look lt and rt? I do realize you can just turn your copter but why would you want to if you can gimble it lt or rt?  Am i missing something and beating a dead horse looking for one other then the normals?

Hi Dave

Most gimbals these days are designed for aerial photography and compensate roll and tilt on the multi

For fpv flying the pan and tilt is more used and not as common

i found this that will fit your requirements

That ome looks nice. I see it says pan and tilt. But did you look at it? It apears in the photo to look like roll and tilt too :/ what ya think?

firey1

seems there definition of pan is different to ours lol

Lol evidently    i wonder if its just qrong picture. Im suprized theres not more gimbles available that are oriented for FPV ( Pan and tilt ). I have one from Dronevision but it realy only setup for the small cams for fpv. My gopro is a little heavy dangling of a mini servo.

firey1

i think its more to do with weight hanging from a servo arm as the go pro isnt light
im running a boscom hd19 with gymbal made esp for it giving pan and tilt but there half the weight of a go pro i think

Yeah im going to look around a bit more. If i cant find one im going to design one and have it printed.  I want my tracker to work lol  and i love the resolution of the gopro. I use mine for fishing and the clarity of the playback is like your right there.

Well after some playing around this concept seems to work for me. Gonna give some more thought and maybe wait to hear some ideas before i build one to spec and print to see if its feasable. What you guys and girls think?

Bloody good idea dave
nice strong design wil be able to handle the go pro weight with good metal geared servos

Thankyou. Its just a rough design. Nothing to size yet. Stil in R&D stages lol
