Turnigy 9x Lipo Battery, a little advice please.

I have just bought a Turnigy 2560 mah LiPo (or LiCo as they say) to replace the AA';s in my 9x. I thought it would be plug and play but not so. The battery comes with three leads, a flat black one that I imagine should fit onto the socket on the TX motherboard, a balance lead (3S) and another lead with a tiny 2 pin plug on the end which I assume is the one I use to charge it with although I don';t have anything that fits on my B6 charger. What I';d like to know is whether it is safe to charge the lipo while it is still in the TX. The provision of the lead with the tiny plug would suggest so but the last thing I want is to damage the  9X.

For info, this is the battery http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Turnigy-2650mah-Transmitter-TX-LiPo-LLF-11-1v-fits-Futaba-Turnigy-9x-UK-/171018518490?pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&hash=item27d17f7fda

Any advice gratefully received

First, don';t charge it in the radio. The radio has no charge circuitry capable of handling LiPo';s, it can only charge NiCad';s.

My 9XR has a socket that uses the balance lead off the battery, I';m not sure what sockets you have in a 9X, do you have a socket that will take the balance plug?

I realise I can';t charge the lipo through the jack, I';m just wondering if it is safe to leave the lipo connected to the motherboard and charge it through the other lead (it has two power leads and a balance lead). I was hoping to just take off the battery door and plug my charger straight onto the loose lead rather than have to remove the whole battery and risk wearing out the motherboard connector.

Maybe I';ll just settle for taking out the whole thing  ::)

Ah sorry, misunderstood the question!  I';d say it';s always best to disconnect the battery from the 9X when charging.
