OSDs that work with Naza M

Hey team !

I am just getting my head around FPV on my Discovery (with Naza M and GPS), what OSD works well with Naza ?

Any suggestions ?

Ta Muchly !

If you mean the Naza M v1 then any since there is no interaction between the Naza and the OSD.  The OSD wires in between your fpv camera and your VTx.

The Naza M v2 will link with the Naza OSD but I think that it is the last choice on anyone';s list of OSD';s.

I';ve been toying with this conundrum as well. The minim one looks popular but I thought that was specifically for the APM?

Riggsbie

Yep, I would like to get GPS data (speed, direction, altitude)......

Is there no option for this info from the Naza M ?

I can get current and volts from my TBS Core.....

Jumpy07

There are a few hacks for the Naza so that it can use MimimOSD.. but its expensive and requires some soldering to the GPS.
Also Naza V2 or V1 upgraded.. can use the DJI iOSD.. but its expensive and not that great for FPV.

Better to just get a standalone OSD..such as ezOSD .. or Cyclops if cost is an issue.

Hi,

I have also been pondering over this one. I bought a TBS a few months ago with a core OSD, but found that I need more information from my OSD. The Voltage alone which the TBS CORE provides is simply not enough.

I';m 50% 50% between the DJI iOSD and the ImmersionRC ezOSD.

The ezOSD provides a little bit more information that the iOSD. Current I think!

The iOSD also uses the Naza GPS and Voltage Sensor whilst the ezOSD has it';s own GPS and voltage sensor.

The ezOSD is a little heavier due to the extra GPS and voltage sensor.

On the whole it';s a difficult one for me!

ezOSD £110
iOSD £155

The TBS core can give you Volts, Amps, mAh used, RSSI and flight time.

Jumpy07

DJI iOSD does not have RSSI... major downside for FPV

Have a look at this one. I';m happy with the one I got and it was very easy to install and setup, and for £46 all in you can';t go far wrong.

Thanks everyone.....

Some research is required......

The ezOSD looks neat, no straggly wires to separate GPS module etc....compact, you could hide the current sensor easily on the Discovery......

Hmmmm.....

bunnygirl80

I also notice when you add the cost of the current sensor to the ezOSD the price shoots up to £145 which put';s the price in the same ballpark as the DJI iOSD.

Looks like we have a few options. Does anyone know the weight of all these OSDs?

Another little useful one might be the MinimOSD. Very cheap cost, very small and customisable screen with lots of information. I can';t quite see how the GPS is linked or whether it';s already integrated.

I think the minim will only work with ardupilot or multiwii?

Riggsbie

Where can you get cyclops for 50 quid ?

Just googled it and it pops out at $250.....

Riggsbie

Found a system with current sensor and gps on AliExpress for $119.....

Hmmmm, shall I ?

Anyone taken the leap..? I';m thinking the suppo easy OSD might be a good punt as you can get it over here as well..

Riggsbie

I have placed an order for one of these Cyclops systems......

I guess it';ll be 2-3 weeks away....
