Charging LiPo in parallel

So there are several boards out there that will allow you to charge several LiPo at the same time, reducing the length of time it takes to charge them singly.  That makes sense.

But one thing that I can';t quite figure out is what to set the charger to. Can anyone advise please?

For example - I have three 2200 3S batteries and one of these boards has just turned up. As usual, the Chinglish instructions make no sense whatsoever.

I normally charge each battery separately at 1C (2.2amps) using Balanced Charge pretty much always.

So if I stick the three batteries on to this board, and the board on to the charger, do I charge  at 1C still (2.2amps)? Or do I treble the charge rate to 6.6amps or nearest to effectively match the new capacity (3 x 2200mAh = 6600mAh) caused by paralleling the batteries?  My own logic says that I should do that, but the risk averse side of me suggests to check first

Ah that';s an excellent link, I';m waiting on a parallel charge board and had similar questions so thank you!

I got something similar a couple of weeks ago. So if I';m reading it right for me to charge 2 batteries at 1c I need to double what i would normally charge at? So I normally charge my 3300 3s lipo at 3amps, for two I need to charge at 6 amps and so on. Correct?

Leigh

that';s the theory.  I';m not convinced, personally, but then again I have a healthy case of paranoia when it comes to LiPos...
