Gaza - can you make the subject line section in the forum topic list wider? It's cutting off the subject field really short.

Had another negative encounter, it's been a few years since the last one, just an uneducated ******, going on about drones being illegal yada yada yada.    :-/
Still that didn't spoil my flying time, had an absolute blast  ~~

is long range fpv allowed?

what is the frequency for video is allowable?

any other rules that i should follow besides play in the safe area..

thanks all

Hi there and welcome to the forum

to answer your questions you may have to wait a few hours till that side of the world wakes up and am sure you will receive great help from the members

this topic on FPV and the law will help get you started

550 RC Spider quad for FPV
550 Alien quad (my sons now)
F450 quad
450 size bell 212, MD500,Augusta 109
600 size Huey running apm 2.5  3 planes  Taranis and 9xr  radios Skyzone FPV goggles

Hi and welcome nikizwan,

According the regulations you can only fly FPV within line of sight of your observer.

The legal video frequencies are 2.4GHz (10mW max) and 5.8Ghz (25mW max), most people tend to fly 5.8 due to their transmitter being on 2.4.

Of course there are people who use more than the legal power, non-legal frequencies and fly further than LOS. I';m not condoning it but it does happen, generally if they do it away from population bases, airfields, military installations, people and major roads then the chances of anything coming from it are slim.

Take what you will from that  ;)

Hi Jacky and welcome to the forum  ~~

Great to hear from you guys

I have phantom and droidworx ad8 with me here and im thinking whether to bring phantom to UK with me together.

I think you';d regret it if you didn';t.
If I was going to Malaysia I';d probably see many places I want to fly and wish I';d bought my quad  We have lots of interesting places that are different to Malaysia and could be interesting to you.
