Hi Guys, well, if you read my earlier thread

http://www.multi-rotor.co.uk/index.php?topic=3252.0

You';ll see that I have just won an eBay auction for a quad, my first quad, in fact my first RC anything since I was a kid (RC Cars then).  So I am 100% novice.  Anyway, the quad I bought has a Crius Multiwii SE board, which came with the input leads all in the right place, the owner labelling 4 output leads 1,2,3 & 4, I am guessing that these are to connect up to my Turnigy 9X8C (v.2) Receiver........but I have no idea what goes where.

After googling for many hours, I have found lots of pages on how to set up the transmitter, how to bind the two units, everything apart from what wire goes where, especially since my receiver is just labelled CH1, CH2, CH3, CH4, CH5, CH6, CH7, CH8, BRT, BIND.

So I am now googled out, and am turning to the forums in the hopes that some kindly soul can explain, google or share what lead goes where......

I will stick some pictures on the following post, in case I';ve not been clear on what I have in front of me, lack of knowledge on my part and a picture says a thousand words.....lol

Many thanks,

Rich

I do have a KK2 board, but would rather try sticking with the Crius as I would love to try GPS once I am up and running. I will also need to buy myself a FTDI (or whatever they';re called) board as I didn';t get one in the sale.

Thanks again,

Rich

Assuming the Turnigy receiver is the same as the Flysky (pretty sure it will be) Throttle would be ch3, ch1 yaw, ch2 pitch, ch4 roll.

When you get that FTDI board you can see whats doing what with the tx/rx in the multiwii gui

Cheers Mate, does this look like the card I need?

Got to read up on what these damn servo wire are and why he';s numbered them 1, 2, 3 & 4....lol

There are lots of 9x owners on the forum who should be able to help with the setup and layout of your radio system,
your controller board is quite an old one now but I';m sure we can find any info you may need to set it up,
once you get the FTDI board your going to need the GUI program to set it up with this will be a little awkward unless you know the version of multi wii on the board it might be worth reflashing it with the latest version which we can also guide you through, I dont have a 9x so cant help with that but the rest is no problem, I read you want to add gps to the board it can be done but you need to buy another board to connect the gps through the I2c port because your board doesnt have any serial ports but it is doable, the forum has a live chat and its a good place to get live help with links to the stuff you need if you want quick answers  ~~

Heres a few links you may need

The multi wii code repository  https://code.google.com/p/multiwii/downloads/list

The multi wii win GUI  https://code.google.com/p/mw-wingui/downloads/list

Arduino the app for uploading code to the board get v1.05  http://arduino.cc/en/Main/Software
