What else can you do with a gopro?

I bought a gopro like most of us with them to shove on the front of a multirotor, but you can do so much other cool stuff with them as well

Like chuck water balloons at them!  I filmed this at 120 fps and extracted the individual pictures from the video and made this silly gif!! (turning it into a gif makes it look weird)

I';ve also had it in the local river filming sticklebacks and rock pools down the beach.

What else do you all do with yours?

rsmith21

Yeh very good JT like it, I';ve had mine in rock pools too and dangling from a kite, before I found Multi Rotors :)

It';s good for time lapse photography......

I stuck mine on an egg timer (the type that unwind and rotate 360 degrees) and got some great time lapse on my street from my Balcony......

I';ve just come back from Corfu where I took my new GoPro down 21 meters with me on a dive.  Usually I only take stills with my Cannon compact in its pukka dive case - good for 40M.  Amazingly the GoPro is good for 60M, well beyond my certification.

I picked up an amazing kit of mounts "GoPro Hero Mounting Kit" for £19.99 on eBay also - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271229280112?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

I';ve not mounted it to a quad yet - don';t trust my flying skills enough just at this moment.

If YOU can fly it, I CAN crash it.

Finally uploaded, here';s my Corfu dive (the first 12 minutes of it anyway ...)

Taken on the Hero3 Black in its stock waterproof case, good for 60M

nice videos guys, timelapse is a great feature

a friend of mine has tied his gopro to the end of a fishing line, just above the hook, he can then see what fish are down there and how they respond to his bait

i can seriously recommend one of these clamps http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Motorcycle-Bike-Bicycle-Handlebar-Handle-Bar-Camera-GoPro-Mount-Tripod-Screw-Nut-/171053103710?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item27d38f3a5e

£9 posted! how can you go wrong? i bought two at that price, very sturdy, able to cope with some fairly rough travel, very versatile in where you can mount it and in what position

I do worry a lot about those contra-flow cycle lanes. The van driver was looking to his right, didn';t even think to look left and see you approaching.   That said, I ride a m/c daily to London from Kent and face similar problems with drivers pulling out.  A mate of mine videos a lot of it - toe curling stuff to watch!

Maybe we should run follow-me drones, but set up to "follow from the front" (a bit like German Shepherds do  ), with rocket launchers, and steel spikes

More forgiving than me - I would have hammered on the side of his van!
