Noob Help with Gimbal Pitch + Retractable Legs DJI Naza M V2

Hi all.

I';m new to DJI multirotors. I';m near completion. I';ve loved the build and taken ages on the little details. Making all the wires bespoke and colour co-ordinated. Just struggling with the Gimbal and retractable legs.

I set up the 8J on S-Bus with fail-safe (Throttle 53% + GPS) in 10mins. I tried for hours to get a Futaba 14SG + R7008SB and S-Bus with no luck.
The Brand new 8J and R2008SB is a million times easier to navigate and use.

The Brushless Carbon Fibre GoPro Gimbal (£80 Inc P&P) is self powered. I';ve been using the Gimbal straight out of the box as an amazing stedicam on a pole with a servo tester to control the pitch. With the Gimbal been self powered, can I plug into F2 on the Naza m V2 Flight Controller, if I remove the positive wire? This would mean I would just be left with the signal and ground plugged into F2. Or would I just need the Signal cable? If this possible can I control pitch up/down using the Futaba 8J? How would I go about this? I have VR and Switch C free that move X1 and X2. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I also have a set of Carbon Fibre Servo (Modded not to pull thread out of winding nut) Retractable legs, that need power. Can I plug these into F1? If so how will I control and any ideas how I add to Failsafe option so that they move back into landing position?

Thanks and any help is appreciated from the community.
