Whats the Difference between the hobbyking version and rctimer version? Would I be better with rctimer one or do these come up second hand at all?

If it was in the uk warehouse I would say it there was a big advantage in getting the hobbyking version , but for they are both on a slow boat from china I think the rctimer may have a better build .

They shouldn`t be a difference between the hobbyking version and rctimer version? , only build quality.

There ';shouldn';t'; be a difference but how do you know there isn';t? HobbyKing have changed other boards they';ve copied, their MultiWii board has an issue that made it completely unusable (see here).

Personally i';d leave it to others to be the guinea pigs on this one. At least RCTimer';s Arduflyer has been proven good.  There is also a post on DIYDrones saying it has some specification changes such as less data flash storage and doesn';t come with the cables you may need to connect to Telemetry etc.

Hobby King cocked up cloning the Rctimer AIOP twice and they have done the same thing with the APM if the one we tried to get going in chat is anything to go by, get a genuine 3dr board or a rctimer clone  ~~

I';m rather going off HobbyKing rapidly. This forum is an excellent source of alternatives.

Hobb King is still a good place to get a lot of the gear we use I';m just not a fan of some of their flight controllers, although the kk2 is a awesome and very well priced flight controller, and as we know its still the best place to get lipo';s  ~~
