Gaza - can you make the subject line section in the forum topic list wider? It's cutting off the subject field really short.

Had another negative encounter, it's been a few years since the last one, just an uneducated ******, going on about drones being illegal yada yada yada.    :-/
Still that didn't spoil my flying time, had an absolute blast  ~~

decided to treat myself to some new motors as two of the ones from the crash are fubar!

ideally want something that can spin a ten inch prop(ive got about 30 spares;)) any suggestions, recommendations?

What radio gear are you using?  If it';s usual 2.4ghz stuff I';d be VERY wary of using a 1.2ghz Vtx...it';s gonna be dangerously close in harmonics terms to the 2.4ghz signal the Rx is gonna expect, could possibly swamp it.

I';d suggest some static range tests before anything else.

As for motors, I use DT750';s a lot...swing a 10" no problem at all and they are cheap as chips, very reliable and have a threaded shaft (although it';s crazy long so you';ll want to trim it down a bit).

hey balders, got a 5.8 setup too, was gonna run ground based range test prior to flying, if its no good ill go back to the 5.8. ill look into those dt750

Interesting.  That frame looks suspiciously like the QAV500. They both appeared on the market around the same time so I wonder who copied who?

hey simon. yeah, im pretty sure they both have compelling arguments to say who came first;) this was cheaper than the qav, and its made by a dude in his garage;)
