The batteries on that camera last about an hour lol. Its a beast. Its hardly bbc, its the camera they shot the latest bond on!!

Sadly not mine, but sometimes they let me keep it for a bit.

Wasn't planning on flying it til tomorrow so didn't have any cameras ready. It was very windy and it held nicely and did well in gusts. Havn't been able to calibrate compass yet or fiddle with any gains. Going to try and test the return to home failsafe tomrorow.

I was only joking about the camera  ::) maybe its time you upgraded to a 8 or 9 channel radio set, I use the spektrum Dx8 and its a doddle to program and has a sd card for upgrading and memory backup  ~~

Hi Martin,

Not yet, the only laptop i have is a macbook air, its my little travel laptop and I dont really fancy trying to run windazz on it. The other pete, my quad rotor building friend is a windows person so we are going to get the software on his laptop for fiddling in the field.

Cant wait for my other batteries to arrive, gonna run it with two 5000mah packs, maybe four if it can lift them economically.

Pete.

You would need a bigger copter for that camera  :whistling:

You should see the ****** camera im working with at the moment...

Its a fairly small camera, Red Epic, but the underwater housing is enormous. Luckily when its in the water, its not heavy, and its a good size to swing around by the looks of it. Ive been fitting remote surface focus control to it. It weighs a ton.

Very impressive stuff you have a great job  :bravo:

Thats another nice one, that camera is gonna really make changes in the film industry. Its big, but its a very nice camera. The device infront of it with Axis on it is what I make, its to remotely focus and control the camera over a wireless link.

I cant enter compass calibrate mode, as it says flick switch between position 1 and position 3 6-10 times. I cant do this as the dx6 only has two position switches so ive had to invent another position using the flap mix functions in the radio and another switch. I wonder how im gonna get it into calibrate mode...
did you manage to calibrate your  compass yet ? you can do it on two position switch just set switch for flight mode to man/gps then flick 8 to 10 times hope this helps
If you find yourself in danger of being taken seriously, then try to do something which undermines or sabotages that perception in some way.

So took the quad out today, and for the first time, i had no broken props and loads of batteries. I had a fantastic flight and I am so happy and impressed with the Naza. It flies rock solid, its a bit wobbly as it gets off the ground, but it stabilises pretty quick. The IOC works great and I was flying it fairly far away and bringing it back whilst spinning it round, worked very well. The GPS hold in relatively fast wind and whilst at a decent altitude was very very good, it was like the quad was bolted to the sky. The Return to home is very satisfying, and I was very impressed with the location. It was windy, but it managed to land perfect orientation, and only about six inches out on X/Y.

I managed to get about 10 mins of flight out of the two 5000mah batteries, before the low battery warning came in. The only thing that worries me, is my RX unit does not have preset position failsafe, so I cant set it so if the radio drops or it goes out of range to come back. If it went out of range, which is very unlikely, it would put the throttle to just below half so it would descend slowly, but it would also keep the other stick positions, so if i was turning a corner, it would carry on. The scary bit is, if I was flying away from me, it would carry on and would just run into the distance.

Once I get a preset failsafe receiver, il be much happier with flying it further away, but right now, im just flying it high and close and its incredible.

Also the APC props are amazing, I cannot stress enough how ****** those chinese gemfan bits of dirt are. Get rid of them and get APC.
