Can anyone tell me if this tx and rx are compatible? Cant bind or change modes on tx.

Biffa

The Turnigy RX isn';t DSM2, so it';s a no.

Damn..lol  thankyou for the reply. Would you mind linking me what i need by chance?  When i bought the tx i thought the multi mode covered the rx. :-

Toledodave

Should i just get the orange rx then and be done with it?

Biffa

Any RX as long as it is DSM2 really, Spektrum or Orange RX.

I use the Orange RXs and have never had a problem.

Hmmm...cool that helps. Im checking Hk and so far all backordered and i dont really want to wait for it. Kinda holding up my build. Gonna check local store and get one today hopefully. Thankyou for the help:D

Toledodave

Thanx guys....i think i need an 8ch though. 6 at very least and two aux chs for lights would be nice. HK has an orange 8ch instock but going to call local store first and try my luck. Thanks for your help. I will post my results

Toledodave

Ok i found a 7ch spectrum reciever with extended antenna and i finally have a bind. Thenkyou all for the advise!

Britishguy

ar7000? make sure you do a range check and set failsafe when you have built your model and ready to go ~~

Toledodave

Thanx for the heads up. I will make note of that. I bought the AR 7010. Im guessing close enough :)

Britishguy

yer thats the newer dsmx version, been years since i used spektrum, for good reason.

I';ve been lucky - used dx6i and dsmx rx';s for the past 3 years no problems, but know people who have so my new tx Aurora 9 never heard of anyone having problems with them. A good option for you would be to switch to Frsky module and Frsky rx';s they are known to be very reliable.

I use DX7 with no probs, AR7000 rx you must disable failsafe in rx to do this insert bind plug rx will flash then remove plug turn off tx, then bind as normal,
if this is not done on turning on system rx will set failsafe to throttle position and if you use RTH throttle will cut and you will be trying to fly a brick lol

Toledodave

Good call. I just installed an AR 7010 last night. Thanx 4 the info!
