Prop adapter length?

Just got 3mm prop adapters from Giant Shark but the seem a bit short? Will they still be OK or will I need to order long ones from HK?
They had prop savers on but not very happy with these.
OK theyre upside down but you get the idea.

Are you referring to the prop saver with the rubber band?

The height really isn';t an issue but I would be reluctant to use one on a multi rotor due to the flex in the rubber giving a little with the quick RPM changes. They are really meant to be used on planks to snap the band or let the prop rotate on landing rather than breaking.

I used rubber band props savers once. They break in flight and your quad will crash.

Unless you actually mount the motor on your quad upside down like in the picture - in which case the thrust will be pushing the prop onto the motor instead of off it.
One circlip short of a quadcopter.
1 lobe short of an antenna.

I use prop savers on my 3D profile foamies, they';re great but as said unless your motors are pointing down it has the potential for problems.
If the distance the shaft comes out of the motor looks excessive I cut the motor shaft down with a dremel making sure none of the dust gets into the motor, if the shaft is too long it is easier for it to get bent or broken with a crash landing.

Cheers guys
The prop savers were on original X525 when I bought it.
Will probably cut shaft down then.
Thanks again
Roy
