Crius AIOP not booting - red LED blinks twice

Has anyone had problems of Crius AIOP not booting up and the red LED just blinking twice?

I';ve got a new Crius board and only rarely do I get it to boot up, and when it does, it works for a few minutes and then loses connection. Pressing reset after that just blinks the LED quickly twice. When I then power it off, it sometimes boots up again when powered.

It does not matter really how I feed it: via computer USB, 5V or 6V UBEC.
Also have tried both MegapirateNG 2.8 as well as 2.9 builds and Megawii, no difference really. They upload well, but mostly don';t start.

Rarely, only very rarely see I a longer boot sequence and then can connect via APM but again just for a short while, then it dies.

Could it be a faulty board or am I doing something wrong? Anything to try to change?

Any way to debug the boot sequence?
