X650 F

Anyone else bought one of these.
Bought it specifically for ESC trays to keep everything neat and tidy.
Standard SK30A won';t fit in tray. Anyone done any mods??
Or any ideas except bin it

I bought a Q650 frame from UnmannedTech and had the same issue. Impossible to fit standard ESCs in the trays.  In the end I bought some upgrade parts from the US that can accommodate bigger motors and bigger ESCs.

In your case the simplest option would be to either wire tie them to the frame arms or move them into the frame? Not ideal I know

Only reason I bought it was to tidy everything up. Hate wires everywhere.
Might buy a 2nd on and see if I can cobble it together.
Shame really cos the frame looks quite nice.

Yup, that';s why I went with the Q650 too, hate wiring everywhere. But when you add up the cost of the upgraded mounts it';s become an expensive frame.

not sure how big those ESCs are, but mine, i placed underneath so the tray cover could still be fitted.

They';re just the standard RCTimer 30A.
I';m lookinng at putting them underneath but still need to adapt it by moving motor mount along so as to get the posts in between the mount and the tray. Have you got a photo? ?
When I try to find any images online they';re either rubbish or the mount tray is empty.

HobbyKing';s X650F isn';t quite the same as the Xaircraft frame. It has square section motor arms and simpler motor mounts.

Ah yes, I have now noticed what you mean, are they the same arm dia I wonder, as  the xaircraft mounts are pretty cheap .
