Welcome Andy777! You might get a better response if you drop your question onto one of the Forums here - answers would just get swamped.  :beer2:

Hi there. Im new. Having problems with my tarot landing gear. Its plugged into ch7 on futaba receiver. When i flick switch on transmitter i can hear a faint click on both legs but no movement. My flight controller is a mini px4 with no aux out terminals.

A while back i bought myself an X250 mini quadcopter frame from goodluckbuy;

It seems quite cheap, looks nice and feels strong for it's size. I doubt it's made of 'real' carbon fibre though - more likely that glass fibre stuff that they coat to look like more expensive carbon fibre.

I got some A1510 motors and 3 Bladed 5 inch props;

Although I am not convinced the motors are very well made. The axle turns inside the motor and I've had to use a small blob of super glue to try and keep them together. If anyone else has experience with quadcopters of this size who knows of some decent motors I'd be interested to hear.

And i went with 12 amp HobbyKing Blue Series speed controllers;

which seem to have decent specs and can be flashed with SimonK's firmware but don't come with easy to solder pads so aren't maybe the best choice for anyone wanting to re-flash them unless they feel confident of their soldering abilities.

Just don't buy RCTimer 10 amp speed controllers. The 20 amp and 30 amp ones work fine but the 10 amps fry. I bought 4, flashed them, built the quadcopter, soldered everything up, then discovered this the hard way. I wasn't too pleased.

I've not flown it yet as I'm waiting on some prop adapters for the tiny motors. The ones they came with were very tiny and 2 of them arrived bent.

I've used one of my old Free Flight boards with the MultiWii software installed just to get it up and flying;

The small brick on the top is my new receiver. I have a smaller one coming.

That looks really cool. Is it for winter indoor flying?

Brian :)

Indoor flying when it's windy and outdoor flying in my back garden when it's not.

Whilst i wouldn't want to hit someone even with one of these, i expect you'd give someone a nasty cut rather than severing limbs if you did so I'm thinking of using it where it wouldn't be safe to fly something bigger.

Very nice looking forward to seeing it flying, I have often thought about some thing this size my self so this will be interesting to see your results  :goodpost:

(Moderator test edit - is this thing on?)

I replace the prop adapters with these ones;

which are the same as the grub screw prop adapters I'm using for my bigger quads which seem to work so well, only smaller. The ones that came with the quad were much weaker and a couple arrived bent.

I like those prop adapters I use them quite a few of them, looking forward to seeing the test flight then  ~~

I like the look of that let us know what it flies like once you get it finished  ~~
