Hobbyking Hitec compatible receivers (2.4ghs a-fhss)

I bought a couple of the hobbyking micro 5 channel compatible receivers for use with my Hitec Aurora 9.

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=31799
Main reason is the smallest hitec minima receiver is still a little on the large side for my 250 sized quad. Its got plently of power to carry a full sized receiver but looks so untidy and out of place.

I went through the binding instruction that came with the receiver and it all worked as it should. I then went into the menu on kk2 to see if the signal was getting to the kk2 and it reads fine on the one servo lead I am using to power the receiver during binding.
I remove the binding lead that goes between the channel 1 and 5 servo plugs for standard binding mode & plug the rest of the servo leads in to the reseiver from the kk2.
At that point the receiver refuses to see the transmitter and acts like its never gone through the binding process.

Ive been over it a few times and cant figure out what I am doing wrong. Even tried to bind the receiver in a different mode by binding in failsafe mode but not difference at all still the same issue.
All the servo leads are ok. I made the micro molex to standard servo leads and have checked them twice now.

Just hoping I am doing something stupid.
The one thing I avent checked for is a newer firmware for the aurora 9 or the module as yet but thought as it sees the receiver when in binding mode that it cant be that.

Anyone had a simular issue?

thanks
Paul
