NAZA GPS

I recently bought the NAZA M Lite GPS, I';ve often seen other GPS antenna with a cup or other attachment around it, Mine hasn';t  got this , can someone explain what this is or should I get one.

I think you';re referring to something like this (scroll down the page a bit).

I guess it is only for protection, not sure if it would make much of difference in a crash or not.

Hi Dave, I had one flight last night and another tonight, after a few initial setup adjustments it flies better than I expected , I still have to fine tune it but you can see the first flight here, I was testing stability, that';s what the jinking left and right is all about. I highly recommend the conversion.

Thanks JIM, that';s it , so its for protection, I thought it may be some kind of interference protection :) . Its a good idea but I';m too late, I';ve epoxied the CF shaft to its ends so no way to slip it on now.
