Does anybody know if the failsafe function described here http://copter.ardupilot.com/wiki/failsafe/ works on CRIUS AIOP V.2 and MegapirateNG? Had no succes so far... :(

yes , but it is the Rx needs fail safe too.

+1 And if you fly with Spektrum some of the Orange RX receivers have failsafe ~~
