Answer: My boots!

How? Took quad for a flight to test gains and gimbal settings - still trying to get them right. :hmm: Flew out the first lipo to the point of auto landing. Beautiful touchdown - right in the middle of an oilseed rape field in full flower! By the time I found the quad, sitting bolt upright on top of the rape but just far enough down not to be seen from more than 15ft, I had fallen over on way into the field (didn';t notice the slight bank) walked through the field edge consisting mainly of nettles and struggled around the field for 10 or so minutes.

Result: Found quad  Stung on legs by nettles  Blue shorts now covered with yellow pollen  Boots bright green  :huh Resolved jello with camera  ~~

Lessons learned: Get an alarm for lipo so I can hear where quad is. Don';t wear shorts if there is any chance of field walking. Now I know that 2nd stage low voltage is landing only, not RTH! I removed all the Moongel mounting the GoPro and replaced with 3mm foam rubber. Put two small springs to maintain light pressure on the gimbal as it had a small amount of slack, result no jello. Lesson there was soft mounting doesn';t always work! Last lesson is I still can';t get quad to fly as steadily as I';ve seen others, tried gains up, gains down and gains in between without much noticeable difference!  :hmm:

Waiting to see how much charge I get back in the lipo, have I got the settings right (always brought her back at first warning before)?

 a fun day then  at least u solved the jello problem though.
Point and click.

Monkey see, Monkey do.

Seemed to have done. Set camera to 1080 25fps as that showed up the jello badly. Mounted legs on rubber mounts and it was still there. Last mods have fixed it. Just need the gains to give me the stability I';m looking for now! :hmm:
