ESC Timing

Just set about programming the ESC's for the Octo.

Having a debate with myself as to which timing mode to set

Low - Mid - High

What do you reckon ? (Keep heat and battery life in mind)

I used to have most of mine set low and when I tried higher I couldn't see a massive performance increase but the esc would be warmer and the battery life slightly shorter so if you can get away with low and the copter is happy with it stick with that

I just set them all high on recommendation from tiger.  They are 14pole motors - they say they need high timing and that will increase battery life ?

Hmmmnn - I'm still not sure but I'll try high now they're set.

if thats what they recommend then go with it, and see how you get on  ~~
Some pictures of your octo would be nice, as you know I'm very interested in the APM 2 and arducopter so will be watching with interest how you get on  ~~

I always used to set mine for mid because my motors used to click when set low and some one suggested using mid it did make it better but didnt cure it,
My esc's are flashed now and they never click and sound much sweeter then before  ~~
