sound?

how many of u guys fly with sound and how do i go about getting some?

hmmm think i posted this in the wrong section might have been better suited in the FPV Equipment / Setups. doh!

I have the ability to have sound while flying but dont use it
i use video glasses (simulated 50 inch screen )for my fpv and they have ear plugs that picks up the sound from the mic on the VTX

God why would you want that ? It';s bad enough hearing the thing buzzing at a distance !

If they were whisper quiet then that would be a different matter, but OMG the sound is awful and when it';s recorded by a tiny mic on a small camera it';s even worse.

don';t know about your quads but i think mine sounds pretty cool

i think flying with no sound will be weird, kind of like riding ma bike with no engine noise.

Yeah the FS TX';s transmit audio. What is good about FPV and no sound is it';s really nervy in a funny way when you fly back at yourself and can only hear the buzz of the blades but not physically see the quad. I always find my self cringing and ducking as it flys past even if it is no where near me

Just re read your post nub.

The FS TX';s transmit audio but they don';t have a mic built in, that would need to be on the camera or a stand alone one.

sorry mine are boscom video TX they have a built in mic  for sound

ah nps guys

at least it transmits it that';s the main thing shouldn';t be to much hassle to add a mic cos i don'; think that Sony camera has a one that';s what got me thinking about the sound in the 1st place.

Don';t like the sound of the 450, like a giant gnat, but much more than 100ft away and I can';t hear it on the ground. The GoPro records sound but for me only of use to listen to how the motors are reacting if I';m changing gains. You can hear them fighting when too high! 

Use a video editor and put soundtrack over recorded sound (or lack of it)! 

Building a new hex with lower Kv motors and big props to reduce noise...
