I have done Dynamic Soaring in over 55mph, and quad flying in over 25mph with the right equipment.

I made a little connector board to be able to calibrate multiple esc's at once, heres a couple of pictures so you can make your own if you want, its uses a piece of vero board just 3 rows some pins and a servo lead, it can be made as long or short as you require  ~~

[attach=1][attach=2]

Not the best soldering in the world but it works  ;)

Looks good.

Are there any other advantages to doing it this way apart from saving time?

I need to get myself a bunch of pins so i can make things like this.
One circlip short of a quadcopter.
 1 lobe short of an antenna.

The main reason is to save time and also I put the leads on to it in the order they go back on to the flight controller it just makes things easier quicker and in my case simpler  :wack0

Check out this seller on ebay you get 20 strips at a price that cant be beaten

Lots of other usefull goodies on there to, although they dont sell the 3 way bent pins  :shrug:

I've cut apart the Kcopter flight control board that wasn't working and I've used the pins from that;

I soldered it up on the reverse side to connect all the rows. It's good for a hexacopter and i only have quadcopters at the moment. I'd have been good for an octocopter but my soldering went a bit iffy at the end and i connected pins that shouldn't have been so had to cut the last couple off.
