Suggestions for a cheap sim/buddy box

So I';ve peaked the curiosity of my nephew and he';s keen to start playing with multi-rotors. Coming up to 12, so I';m looking for a reasonably cheap simulator and tx combo for him to get some practice in to save on hubsan repair costs ;)

Any suggestions? He';s using a PC. Are the Dynam USB controllers any good? I';ve seen something like this:

  http://www.amazon.co.uk/6CH-Helicopter-Airplane-Flight-Simulator/dp/B008BQL3G0/ref=pd_sim_sbs_k_h_b_cs_3

Any other suggestions? I know phoenix is the daddy, but a bit pricey..

Thanks Firey - looks like the one I link to includes FMS, so I would guess that USB controller works with it.
