DX8 unwanted throttle kill fixed.

AKA Biggles

I dumped my DJi 550 hex from about 60 feet - and despite landing on soft springy grass I still managed to break one of the arms, part of the lower deck (continuity shot now), and pretty much trashed the camera skid. The reason for this mishap was that I had the rotary on channel 8 to operate the camera tilt, and while feeling for it (eyes on the hex) I found the throttle hold and the killed all the motors. Too low to recover, high enough to do a fair bit of damage.
So the solution I came up with was to change the switch. I have fitted a single pole latching push switch in the throttle hold position, and now confidence is restored. Almost impossible to press the button accidentally, but it';s a good feeling that the extra level of safety is there when needed.

At £6.98 off eBay it';s not a cheap switch, but it';s perfect for the job.
Taranis, Dx8, Boscam DJI 550Hex clone, 2X KK2.0 Tri's, 2X 450 Align clones, Blade Nano, Scale 450 Hughes 500, MX2, SE5a, Mini Racer (Slope), and a shed full of other stuff in progress. No time to play enough !
