A question.

Currently on standard DJI F450 set up.  Having seen various items about the benefits of SimonK flashed ESC';s are they interchangeable with OPTO';s (all of them that is) or is it not as simple as that?

Would I see much noticeable change in stability, etc.?

...learning (or trying to) every day!  :hmm:

OPTO just means the ESC doesn';t have a BEC, if your using a flashed ESC that have a BEC then u may have to cut the power wires on the throttle input depending on the rest of your setup.

from what i';ve read u should notice a difference straight away, i';ve yet to try any flashed ESC';s myself but i will be soon

Point and click.

Monkey see, Monkey do.

Yup, I run opto esc';s on my big hexa.  No need to disconnect any wires or that sort of thing.

Yeah, rctimer 40amp opto ESC';s. There was an issue with them at first, and I ended up having to reflash them, even then there were issues because the hex file. SImonK himself got in touch and provided a fix for me, which worked fine.
