First flight with Gopro 3 in the wind.

I';ve finally went out and got myself the new Gopro 3 black, stuck it on top of my 600mm quad frame with some anti-vibration silicone double sided tape and into the air I went. The video quality is very good I thought, although I';m planning on reducing the vibrations further in the near future with some mods, but overall despite the wind I';m really happy I can finally record my flying experiences.

First flight footage with Z600 quad

Feel free to let me know what you think, it will be much appreciated :)

Indeed, need to mount the camera under the quad and place the battery on top instead.

Maybe larger landing gear to help keep that Gopro safe.

that was close call with the bin  ~~ how comes your running cable ties on the motors surly that wont help with the balance
dji f550, still running standerd running gear, with auora 9 controller, 2 x 6000mah nano-tech, 1 x 8400mah nano-tech, 1 x 5000mah turnigy, carbon gimbal with Aeroxcraft landing gear, gopro 3 black edition camera, and to top it off LED's all round for night flying (has to be done)

Very close call with the bin yeah lol :P I used the cable ties to improve the balance of the motors, they are very small and have a tiny weight off set so you can (with prop removed) run the motor and feel for vibrations, then turning the cable ties a little bit at a time to see if the vibrations get better or worse. Usually they can get rid of a lot of vibrations this way, but if the motor is balanced well from the factory then this method is not really needed.

He was kind of cute :P I was more afraid to hurt him with the props than any damage it could have done to my quad. But yeah, the motors are from the Turnigy aerodrive series, 920kv turning 10x4.5 slow flyer props. Got them from hobbyking --> http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=18155
