Finally managed to get the FPV kit into the Phantom

List of parts:

Cyclops Easy OSD & Current Sensor & GPS

WDR 600 Camera 2.8mm lens

ImmersionRC 250mw 5.8Ghz Vtx

Fatshark Spiro Antenna

I was actually amazed managed to get the OSD and Current sensor inside the shell.. took me about an hour all in to get it installed. I am waiting on a carbon  VTX mount.. so VTX just on with double sided tape at the moment. You will also see the red button to set home position for OSD.

No RSSi at the moment.. ..

Ordered one of these..  might also add another plate to run a 450ma for the video.. will see how the main batt handles the extra load and what the flight times are like first

exactly what i thought, looks nice and clean with everything tucked away.

While I remember.. the case I am using for the Phantom is from Maplin';s ..

£49.99 free delivery..

http://www.maplin.co.uk/large-high-impact-case-with-pre-cut-foam-interior-515mm-x-415mm-x-200mm-wxdxh-228650

A lot cheaper than most I have seen advertised... the foam is pre cut into squares.. so all u do is pull out the bits you don';t need to make the space for the kit.

Some more mods and improvements to my FPV Phantom...

New Carbon props.. 8x4.7.   these have the right boss for the DJI motors which is great..much more punch than the 8x5 graupner style ones I had before.

New carbon VTX bracket,. that enables me to move the VTX much further back... helps with CG

Also have fitted 2nd battery dedicated to OSD, VTX and Camera..  using 900mah 3s which fits on top of VTX bracket..  this gives better balance for CG when GoPro onboard.. one of the issues I was having was the Phantom was flying like a pig when I had the GoPro in the protective case.. as there was too much weight up front..

Also had to replace one of the motors.. as the bearing had went in it..

Replaced the Sipro on the VTX with a nice white one to match the Phantom..

OSD (Cyclops) is inside the shell, with the GPS antenna and current sensor.. so I think its quite a clean setup.

FPV Camera is WDR600 Sony with 2.8mm lens with IR CUT Filter.

I am hoping with the separate FPV battery that the flight times improve.. as was only getting @ 5mins before..

Hi
I just ordered the Cyclops breeze osd for my phantom ,I have the same setup but iam using the gopro for fpv.
Plz
Can you post more pic – how to connect the wires to osd – vtx – gopro

Do you recommend to you a second battery for the fpv setup?

thx

Jumpy07

Mine has changed a bit, now has Gimbal, separate battery for Gimbal and FPV gear...850mah 3s   .. which helps balance gimbal
I have also ditched the Phantom Tx and RX..

Don';t have any more pics.. but if you get stuck.. drop me a line
