Fazerboy

just wondering where do you guys usualy buy your props ?  ..... i have scanned over the net to see how much and what is available .... and the forum posts i should be looking for  Graupner E-Prop 10x5 .... cant seem to find any in the UK... is this the norm ?

another thing is .... im still running DJI motors .... i hear these are good props although the shaft on the DJI motors have flats .... the Graupner props grip quite well and have the 8mm shaft needed... is this correct ? :crossfingers:

thanks

Ash

Hi Fazerboy,

I asked the same question a little while ago, see the responses here:

You can buy props here in the UK - http://www.buildyourowndrone.co.uk/DJI-Flame-Wheel-Propellers-10-p/dji-ps10.htm

....not sure what stock levels are like but worth a look :).

I get all mine from overseas. I refuse to pay 3 or 4 times the price for the same cheap products over here.

I have no objection to people/businesses making a profit, but I wont be ripped off either.

I have to say I have never bought a prop from GS despite shopping there many times, never even looked :embarrassed

What my remark was really aimed at is the UK retailers that buy the same products as we do (like from RCtimer) and then inflate the prices massively.

Here';s an example:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1045-10x4-5-Real-Carbon-Fiber-Propeller-Prop-KK-DJI-Fpv-Quadcopter-Bundle-x4-/221218946277?pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&hash=item3381ad3ce5

£30 for a set of props from RCtimer.

If it';s for the DJI motors, I';d certainly go for the 1038 and not the 1045.

Balders

I';ve used bucket loads of props from GiantShark, the 8';s were pretty good on my small hexa and I';m now using them on my small quad, used 10';s on my tricopter with really good results and the 12';s on my big hexa, although I have now swapped to less flexible Gemfans.

Ideally I would love to try Graupners, but they are like hen';s teeth.  For 8 or 10" sizes, you can';t go far wrong with the 50p GS jobbies, just make sure you balance them (they can be a bit off but no worse than probs 10x the price).
