Gaza - can you make the subject line section in the forum topic list wider? It's cutting off the subject field really short.

Had another negative encounter, it's been a few years since the last one, just an uneducated ******, going on about drones being illegal yada yada yada.    :-/

GYRO_SCALE issue in MW 2.2

Is there any expereince about this guys:

How common/serious is this for you?



I wouldn';t worry to much we have been flying around with this error for some time but if it does bother you then download the latest dev version it has been fixed, from what ive read it only really seems to cause a problem if you have been doing plenty of flips  ~~

Remember all open source projects are on going and will always have a bug or two  :beer2:


Mate, I';m using your revision for the Crius board and I was/am chicken to update it to the latest dev because I don';t know what the difference vs your version and those... :hmm:


1/ Get the current stable Source (version 2.2)
2/ Setup Config.h as appropriate for your FC board and optional extra';s
3/ goto the tab labeled IMU
4/ goto line 111 (line number is displayed in the botton left of the window.  This line says :
#define GYRO_SCALE ((2279 * PI)/((32767.0f / 4.0f ) * 180.0f * 1000000.0f)) //(ITG3200 and MPU6050)
5/ replace with :
#if defined(MPU6050)
#define GYRO_SCALE ((4.0f * PI)/(14.375 * 180.0f * 1000000.0f)) //(MPU6050)
#if defined(ITG3200)
#define GYRO_SCALE ((4.0f * PI)/(16.4 * 180.0f * 1000000.0f)) //(ITG3200)
#if defined(L3G4200D)
#define GYRO_SCALE ((4.0f * PI * 70.0f)/(1000.0f * 180.0f * 1000000.0f)) //(L3G4200D) this needs changes to Gyro_init and Gyro_getADC to set 2000dps and divide result by 4 instead of 20

6/ Upload sketch to FC
7/ Test Carefully :)


Can anyone explain what the affect of the bug would be in flight? I haven';t noticed anything myself but i may have to give this a go just in case.
One circlip short of a quadcopter.
 1 lobe short of an antenna.
