Has he got the steering linked up some how as it looks like it moves some of the time but not others ?

very good!  Also a good vid to see how you set the KK gain.  OK I'm just off now, to get my son a lego motobike ready for xmas, but I might have to open the box and build it to make sure all the pieces are there.
