Are all negative esc / radio common ?

Hi , I think it`s time for a hexicopter rebuild .

On the radio side you only need the signal wire because the negative is a common ground used by both the board and radio.
Is it the same with the esc ? , can I cut it down to the only the signal wire going to the board ? , ( no thin gnd ) because all ground ( Negative ) connections are common ?

I want to neaten the wires going to the board to a minimum , and to maybe hard solder the esc wires to the board , because the esc plugs are so big they are pushing on the top layer if I raise the board up on foam.

it`s a AIO v2 board
