I';ve also got X525 which am trying to instal AIO pro.
How do you power the board without a UBEC.
Obviously in the simplest laymans terms. (Without being rude)
:hmm: :hmm:
Regards
Roy
Gonna try the 450 tomorrow and will endeavour to video it

firey1

I take it you mean the crius AIO board
the board id powered by the ESCs ubec when you leave the jumper  on the pins ( my jumper is bright yellow

you only remove the jumper if you are powering the board by a separate ubec

Hi
They';re OPTO. Does that mean they don';t have inbuilt BEC as I specifically asked before I ordered them from RC Timer and they emailed to confirm they did???

fruitsalad

correct they have no inbuilt bec, youll need a ubec.

Royston

Not a happy bunny.  As I say they emailed me to confirm the did have. Will get on to them and see what tbey say.
Thanks anyway. At least I know now.

Royston

What ubec would you recommend.
Preferably UK sourced.

I am in New Zealand I use a hobby king  ubec
to use a stand alone ubec you will need to solder to board I used a jst plug soldered a short lead from board with male end and then the female plug to the ubec this way i could isolate and remove when needed

Hi.
Have now fitted UBEC, I think correctly as it appears he same as on my 450, but still no power to board.
Could I have inadvertently blown the board with a wrong connection initially and if so how can I tell.
Is there a way to tell if the UBEC is live on the board?
Any help, again, appreciated.
:help: :banghead: :help:

peter_a

a voltmeter
a led and resistor
or anything which uses 5v

Royston

Cheers Peter
Checked with voltmeter.
Getting power from ubec to board but no further. No LEDs etc.

Roy

Hi Roy,
Can you take a photo of your board connections (UBEC) so we can see what is going wrong. The UBEC should be connected to the Ext power connector and the Jumper in the middle of the power rails removed.
regards Peter King

Royston

Cheers
Connections are correct as per your instructions.
I think I may have shorted the board when originally getting mixed up with connections.
One of the guys on the forum is going to check it out for me.
Thanks
Roy
