What do I need to know about FrSky?

So I think after 4 years of FlySky I need to switch to FrSky! I am flying sub 250gms and it doesn't appear that there are any reliable small FlySky compatible receivers! Plus a late birthday present  .
So I'm looking at the FrSky Taranis X-Lite S but I have no idea about which rx to use, what S-port is, etc.
All I want is a small rx that can give rssi on BF OSD?

So can anyone fill me in on what I need to know about FrSky?
I try :-)

Well, at first sight there is a confusing range of Rx available, but have you been to their website and had a good look around. I use both FlySky and FrSky, where I have a Taranis and two Horus (Well actually two Taranis, as I was given one that's "brocked" for parts)

And I have or have had most of the Rx range apart from Access only gear.

Could write ooodles and not hit your specific needs query wise, quite prepared to discuss on phone is you'd like, Am available Sun evening 19:00 to 22:00 for example.

If this would help, PM me your contact details and when you'd like a call on Sun or after ??

Thanks very much for the offer of a phone call. It's probably not necessary as I have been reading a fair bit so think I have answered most of my own questions.
I think I am going for the X-lite S version as it can charge off usb same as my Evolution.
So only real question is to get XM+ or R-XSR rx? Looking at them there is only a few £ in it and the r-xsr appears slightly smaller well apart from the connector and it does telemetry which would be nice. I think I would only use the telemetry for flight battery warnings as both rx do rssi. So most stuff on BF OSD and I only fly fpv. But a verbal low batt warning or low rssi might be good as I do get carried away sometimes  :D

As for the EU/non EU stuff I don't think that worries me as I will be buying tx and rx from UK supplier.

Once again BadRaven thanks for the offer.
I try :-)
