On this KK" board, how do I provide voltage via a UBEC?

Take the red and black wires out of the bec servo connector. Take the red and black wires out of the ESC servo connector, put the bec red and black wires into the slots in the ESC servo connector. Connect the bec  up to power source and plug esc servo connector into position 1 on KK2 board..

I thought as much!

So, why use a UBEC instead of the ESC supply? Particularly as if you have all four of the ESC plugged in to the FC there is a greater power redundancy should an individual ESC fail.  From what I read, most of the FC boards power is bussed along all of the ESC ports.

A ubec provides a clean supply of power to the flight board

also its not recomended having all esc ubecs connected as something to do with the pulse rate of ubecs

but if they are only liner becs there fine to be all connected

from what I';ve read power is only supplied from m1 so I';m afraid there is no redundancy.

Ah, thanks. Makes sense. I';m all for clean power to the microelectronics.

Hmm, just looked at the underside of my wrecked KK2 and only the Ground pin is bussed.  I';ve obviously misread  :embarrassed

Hi guys, sorry if I';m hijacking this thread but it looked relevant to my question  :help:
I connected 4 ESC:s (as link below) to my KK2.0 and I turned it on several times before I read in the manual that one';s not supposed to use several ESCs with UBECs (which these four have) and the KK2.0 is acting strange now, could it be because of the multiple UBECs?

KK2.0 weired behavior

Hi mgorgis,

It depends on your ESC';s BEC type (switching or linear) as to whether or not you should disconnect the power (red wire) when connecting multiple ESCs.  In the case of the F-30A from hobbyking, it is a linear BEC so you really don';t need to bother.  I didn';t and my kk2.0 is just fine.  M1 powers the main board, m2-m8 share a common power rail for powering servos, etc.
