accel Z , reading 1000

Hi , trying to get my hexicopter a little more stable , recalibrated the compass and set the level etc , tweaked the gains a little.
( only the stabilize P gain to 4 , Angular rate control to 0.1100 )

Its better, but I`m fighting with the sticks a little to get it to hover in the same place, The first bit of the hover is like it`s on a elastic band ( height wise ) , it will gain height then drop to the floor , then gain height ending up to almost the same level . ( only flying , a couple of feet off the ground in stabilize mode) .
Small garden , and it`s easier to just cut power what it gets out of control .
only by first multirotor , so don`t know how controllable they are to hover , But I guess it`s a more controllable now than my little helicopter.

Looking at the raw data , all the sensors show a value of around 0 to 5 , but the accel z is 1000 , is this correct ? , I`ve tried a erase all value and start end , but still the same value

I believe that is correct. The -1000 is the force of gravity on the Z axis. I think if you turn the copter upside down it will read +1000.

At least this is how I interpreted a thread on the DIY forum.

Yep , you are right with the negative to positive by flipping it.

Checking anything to find my problem , and doing a rebuild where needed !!!!

Tried removing the props and checking the gyros and accels , and it looks like the vibration from the motors are getting passed directly to the board , by spinning the motors and feeling the vibration on the board .
Using one layer of double sided foam tape ( about 3mm trick ) to hold down the board .

Did a raw data , of it at idle and with the motors spinning ( no props )
I think mutlilayers and some other method is needed .

You can`t run it without props, because it looks like it generates pulse like vibration which you don`t get with the props on.
And it`s a catch 22 , the more foam on the bottom of the board will make it push the esc / radio wires up onto the top plate .
