GoPro Session 5 prices!!!!

I am intending to fly exclusively sub 250 gms due to the Nov regs. So I might have my GoPro Session 5 going spare. It's only been used a few times as I am not confident a flyer to risk it on my 5" Martian, it has a screen protector from day 1 and still have the box and accessories.

They seem to be going for £180 to £220 for a used one on eBay £350 for new with warranty!!!!. Are they worth that much?
I try :-)

Sweet Pickle

Not really no. You can still buy official GoPro refurbs for £170 that lack the snazzy packaging but are near as dammit new with a brand new battery.
When I lost mine last week I did contemplate getting another but the price is starting to creep up. I saw these refurbs for £120 6 months ago. Stock of these is presumably drying up now.

The real answer to your question however, it's worth whatever it's worth to the buyer. I want another as I've purchased a full fat Hero which is heavier. Would I pay £180 / £220? Not a chance. Someone else more concerned that this format/weight/quality is not available for less elsewhere might pay more.
£120/£150 depending on condition is fair in my estimation. Not having user replaceable batteries make it a risky buy. This IMHO is the one thing the Hero format does have going for it.

Cheers Sweet Pickle. I was thinking people were mad on eBay but maybe it's just the heat of the auction battle that makes people get carried away  :D
I think I will stick it on for silly money and see what happens  :D  Hopefully it will fund my sub 250gms HD recording quad - not sure which yet but leaning towards GepRC Cygnet 3.
Cheers

I like the Cygnet. It's a pretty little thing.
Probably worth a self build mind you. The HD recorders seem to need a ND filter (and TPU parts) to eliminate Jello. Some frames do not seem to lend themselves well to HD without modification.
The Diatone GT R349HD looks worth a punt as well.

I was thinking of self building but the costs don't seem to stand up well when I did a quick costing. I might have another look...
I think that some of the jellow has been fixed with the new 12mm lens on the split mini V2(.5).
The R349 HD is my other choice but it uses bigger motors. So I'm thinking it might not be as good at flight time, then again the R349 was clocked by UAV Futures at 113mph!!!!
Then again the Cygnet is from GEPRC and the 2.5" Phoenix fram I have from them is very nice quality wise - I did swap the guts from a Lizard 105S to it but had an esc fail, install a new one then motor smoked on bench!! So not having much luck with that one.
There are always plusses and minuses when picking a quad but that's part of the fun, same as choosing components  :D
I try :-)
