I,m after a knock about hack 5" frame thats easy to work on and not going to break the bank. Any ideas welcome as I cant make my mind up  :frantic: :shrug: I did look at a TBS Source or a Martian 2 but they look a bit heavy.  :help:

Martian 3 lighter than a 2 buy a bit tight for space. Very strong, cleap and happy to carry go pro mount.
I try :-)

It's not a v3 just same as martian 2 but much shorter body, here is a ink https://goo.gl/6Y5E7A.
There is actually a v4 but its a 3".
I try :-)

How about iFlight’s XL5 V3?

I like iFlight’s carbon. Probably the best carbon I’ve seen on a Chinese brand. (Geprc is decent as well)

Didn't the 'big' brands recently come out with 'budget' 5" frames. I think there were 3 new brands but I can't remember them. I will try and have a look.

The 3 manufacturers who make budget frames (they are trying to discourage cloning) are:

Armattan - SabotageRC - https://www.sabotagerc.com
TBS - Source One 5 https://www.team-blacksheep.com/products/prod:source_one_5in
Rotor Riot - CL1 https://store.rotorriot.com/rotor-riot-cl1-frame/

I try :-)

Thanks for the advise chaps, in the end I went with TBS s1. There's plenty of room for fat fingers and as I don't smash things up too often I could go 7" arms later on and try gps, fit night camera who knows it will be an experimental craft.

Don't forget a build thread  ::)

I'll just strip bits off another 5" that's a pig to work on for now. If I ever get my 3D printer finnished I can try making some bits for it but I started it last year and stopped when the good weather came.
