Yep..13 batts through the acro quad and 3 on the armattan scx200. Didn';t really enjoy the fpv, I';m starting to wonder if I should just focus on the acro stuff. I quite like the simplicity of it all......

Weather turned nice so i took a 2mtr plank up the  road and floated around catching thermals off the village houses.  D-f-ing lightfull. Poor thing haden';t been out for nearly a year, got the dust of it nicely .

Fixed up my Teslaquad 250 as it has been sat smahed up in its case for a good couple of months.  Just flew a couple of lipos out in the garden.

Something quite nice just hovering, flying smooth LOS circuits and holding it nose in with the props just purring away. Nice still summer evening very satisfying.

TBH that';s what about 50% of my flying consisted of, as it';s just a nice way to stay sane after a week in work.

Then BBC news had an article on the Favont badges last night and i though it would be a good place to get some footage, beaten to it,  nice vid.   The earthwork on the top of the hill looks quite interesting ,  flying over them reveals so much more detail than from the ground.
Like the spotty dog.

Been over a week wind rain and just unpredictable, I fancied doing Roslyn Chappell, its not far from me, but checking "No fly Drone map" its inside the don';t fly area of Edinburgh so a new target has to be found.

Yep, 7 packs through the mini-vtail at lunchtime. I think all my small 3 cells are knackered though as was only getting 3 mins flight time at best

It might be in the no fly zone  but  at 100 ft around the building should nt present a problem.
At 1.5 miles there is a sliding scale enabling flight.

Thanks Hoverfly, your right, it states "If you are under 7kg, it is still strongly advised to notify the air traffic service provider of your activity." So a phone call to ATC as a courtesy should do it, I won';t be that high anyway 200 Ft maybe, time to look at the forecast and get ready :)

12 Packs is only around 60-70 minutes flying time, so maybe 2 hours field time?

I';m gonna zip through another 7 at lunch today if the rec is clear. Absolutely loving acro on the mini-vtail at the mo. It';s stupidly fun to fly, nippy enough and small, so other people find it interesting rather than threatening

7 packs will take 30 mins tops to get through!

It';s a quadcopter playground 

Just as I was leaving my son shouted ';look over there, quadcoptet'; , I thought he was joking but we';ll spotted ! Someone else was flying a large hex camera ship high up in the middle somewhere, but I couldn';t see the operator. Looked like he was getting battered by the wind also....I';ll return on a calm day. I wish I had some long range FPV gear to do a full circuit 
It';s a pig to get on the site, it has a very large perimeter wall (Alcatraz), lots of dog walkers, quad bikes, and vandals access via one or two breaches on the south east area. I believe it';s been sold for a housing development  shame.
A quick google ';Leyland test track'; gives loads of history.

2.5 minutes flight time is starting to grate though. Need more power. Gonna get some RCX 1304 at the end of the month alongside some 3025 props and graphene 500mah 3s batteries! Probably for both the atom and the quark mini v-tail.

I';m working from home today, and have already spent some of my (ahem) ';lunch'; time buzzing my CX-10 and X11C around the landing, into the bathroom, then the bedroom, back into the office... with a little ';detour'; down the stairs when I clipped the lampshade...  :embarrassed ......

Wonder of planks, yesterdays lunch.
My beat up AXN and a westerly breeze had over 23minutes from a rubbish zippy compact 1500mah 25c, great when I have fogotten to charge any batteries and have a half hour break, plus less time setting up too, just chuck and soar.
