  • Bad Raven: I think a lot of us will have seen the published (leaked) training instructions to police officers on FPV, which was both incomplete and incorrect. Only the Little Hitler types will be comfortable treading any of that path!

  • Reman: Thought for the day - If a knowledgeable police officer stopped you and saw that you had a "600mW" VTX on your quad he'll get funny about it, But would even a VERY knowledgeable officer know what they were looking at if the same VTX had a professional looking label under the heat shrink that proclaimed that the VTX was in fact a 25mW unit?  :hmm:

Crap flight/fun flight
« on: October 03, 2018, 17:54:37 »
Sometimes the worst flights are the best flights! Really this clip should just just stay hidden, but I really enjoyed the flight in all its branch hitting, lense smearing, bent propping glory!

If that is a 'worst' flight then WOW.... :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:
That was some great flying I would love to have that sort of flying as my 'worst'. In fact I would love that to be my best flying.
That was great, thanks for posting.

Haha! Thanks for the nice comments! It wasn’t bad flying, just not a very cinematic flight! I wasn’t really planning my lines through the trees, just reacting to what was in front of me. My thought process was ‘tree, tree, ooh another tree, flip, branch - aaah! Oh I’m still flying, tree, tree, can’t see, woaaah!’

It’s a bit of a warts and all flight in that regard because it shows up all your faults - there was a few ‘180 of indecision’ in there and I get a little twitchy when I’m working hard which I want to iron out. But I really enjoyed it and thought I’d post anyway!

I guess you mean skitzo?! Haha! He is pretty good at that kind of tree canopy flying isn’t he?! It’s definitely easier with tall pine trees that barely have a branch for the first 20 feet or so. Not like the deciduous forest near me, it’s nettles for the first 5 feet, then brambles before the trees start!

Lol yeah Skitzo.  Yeah he's amazing in that environment.

I agree, the UK is frustrating like that. I've often thought that other countries have better trees growing naturally for fob. Australia also has great ones.
