Tbh I've been really busy, not had much time to fly anything and with conditions being crap, hopefully in the new year I'll have some new projects on the go, mostly to do with HAM radio, will certainly fly again soon. FTR I hate FB too   :D Merry Christmas

MegaPirateNG v2.7r1 released

Alex has just released the latest version of the megapirateNG firmware based on the new Arducopter 2.7.1 code  ~~
the last release 2.6r5 that I tried flew very well, I hope this is even better  ~~

i have had a chance to run a few packs through using this new firmware, and I have to say it is by far the most stable yet, my quad flew with default PID settings even in acro mode which is pretty good seeing as most of the previous versions acro mode was not flyable, I really struggled though to get altitude hold working right which was a suprise as in other versions it has worked as well as it can using the BMP85 baro,
After messing around with it for a while I contacted Alex the main megapirateNG coder and he informed me there is a bug in the altitude hold in this firmware, and that he is working on a fix which will be available ASAP
So for now your better of not using this firmware  ~~
