Mavic camera to diy quad?

Just a thought as I've seen a few for sale, could I fit a mavic's camera and gimbal to my build? It looks like the wiring is made to plug into a board so I'm sceptical but if the plugs can be cut off and rewired to something else I can see it being do-able since I'm using a naza m v2 which apparently can control a gimbal

Anyone managed it? And do you have a wiring diagram please?

I imagine the gimbal controller uses a serial link or a couple of PWM channels but you will need to know what the protocol is to use it if it's serial.
It's unlikely the camera can be easily connected to anything though.  It might have a digital output that you could connect to an external video processor like an Antrica ANT1772 or ANT1773.  I've used both for UAV camera systems and they support a fairly wide range of camera and can record to an SDCard.

i doubt you'd be able to cut the cables and rewire them, it uses a very fragile flat ribbon flex cable for the gimbal control and another cable for the video transmission, both are connected to a gimbal/camera/sensor control board which is then connected to the main board.

they are nothing but a PITA, i've repaired a couple.
Point and click.

Monkey see, Monkey do.
