  • Bad Raven: I think a lot of us will have seen the published (leaked) training instructions to police officers on FPV, which was both incomplete and incorrect. Only the Little Hitler types will be comfortable treading any of that path!

  • Reman: Thought for the day - If a knowledgeable police officer stopped you and saw that you had a "600mW" VTX on your quad he'll get funny about it, But would even a VERY knowledgeable officer know what they were looking at if the same VTX had a professional looking label under the heat shrink that proclaimed that the VTX was in fact a 25mW unit?  :hmm:

A flying buddy got carried away and bought a quite nice looking film covered chevron wing at a club auction, I test flew it, he panicked at how it flew, and a few weeks later gave it to me without now a receiver. Now I know this will sound ungracious, but with over 20 flying wings, do I need another?

Don't know what it is, its like a slightly scaled down "Slipstream", but the shock comes when you go to pick it up, it is

very VERY HEAVY.

In fact it is so heavy you'd think it might not fly at all!  874g!! Even my ballasted DS larger area Slipstream is only 673g.

What Transmitter name will I give it?  No brainer, "Heavy Metal" it is.

It has my favourite small motor 2212 (rotor size not case) Suppo 6 wind, a very hot wind capable of near 1/2kW output.  It needs it!!

I'll give is a couple of tries under power before (likely) stripping it of motor/esc and need for large battery as a high wind slope soarer.

If/When we get a repeat of the '87 hurricane, I'll be set with something to fly.  ;)
