  • Reman: Got stuck in traffic yesterday. After an hour I started using my phone (And an OTG cable) to look through the media files on a keyring of my old USB sticks. Found one that had the entire run of "Firefly" on it. I got through 3 episodes before the traffic started moving again....... God, That really was an amazing show.

  • mo_miah: Gav- if its a camera ship then TBS crossfire is definitely what you need, the FrSky has limited channels and telemetry options, TBS crossfire has much better features and more channels to control camera gimbals etc

  • hoverfly: I coated a couple of Slipstreams  a few years ago  It stiffened up the wing nicely .On the down side although it prevented dings when i had an high speed"arrival" it left the resin cracked. and the glass lifted slightly.  Well stuck laminate stiffens the wing and is flexible..

  • DarkButterfly: I'm doing laminate, just put my order in for some, also got some balsa wood for the side parts, had to use a kitchen knife to seperate the foam from the busted wood

  • atomiclama: Thanks, can't decide on fibre glass or laminate. Like the idea of fibre for some reason, don't know why.

    September 05, 2018, 09:30:22
  • atomiclama: @DB well you obviously need a bigger motor and ESC, as flying slower is just not possible.  ::)

  • hoverfly: If you put a couple of coats of Eze Kote on the wing before the laminate it sticks really well ..no lifting..

  • DarkButterfly: If it makes you feel better, I’m going to completely refurbish my falcon Evo with new balsa sides and new laminate ~~

rc migration
« on: July 12, 2018, 15:48:19 »
Decided that i'm going to migrate my a/c to Frsky,  so first wing has to be the Falcon Evo with Eagletree Vector
F/C. Easy peasy, remove Spektrum r/x, program Taranis, bind and install new r/x. So far so good  recalibrated r/x  and every thing works as it should, apart from the stabilization which now goes in reverse............
1 1/2 days later and no amount of loading new firmware, swapping servos, reversing channels , factory reset and complete new setup removes the problem Opened ticket with Eagletree... :banghead:

Don't know if this particular instance is a trap point for transfer, but can say the easy and fast way to transfer is to get an iRange Multi-Module, run it under OpenTX and continue to use the Spectrum Rx's you have till you have time and experience to deal with the awkward ones while getting the benefit of a Frsky Tx and full transfer on the easy ones asap..

I think the problem is with the Vector, all the other  a/c i have changed have gone  without  a problem. I have had an Email from the Eagletree  support, for what its worth (not a lot) Re run radio calibration. ffs i told them in the first instance i had done it several times.., now they want a  Youtube video to demonstrate  the elevons going the wrong way.. I despair, i suspect that in his last job his main script was "Do you want fries with that"

Sorted... :sweating: :sweating:Lots of people having similar problems. Turns out that Frsky x6R and x8R are not compatible with the Vector  in normal mode. I swapped it  over to Sbus, reset  everything and it's now working. ::)
