New freestlye quad

As the title suggests, after a new freestyle quad.  Unfortunately work gets in the way so I'm not looking to build the quad.  After a BNF (Spektrun compatible) if possible for freestyle flying. Any suggestions?

Problem is bnf are really not that good. It kind of depend on your flying skills. But most pilots rapidly outgrow.

Only thing I can think of right now is quadcopters.co.uk have chammy, chammy ti and rooster bnf

Work out what you want and get someone to build it up for you.

Probably an intermediate flyer - I have a Nighthawk 250 which Phil at makeitbuildit built for me a few years ago. A solid 3s machine but showing its age. Also have a Torrent 110 which is a great flyer, programmable via Betaflight and has served me well. Looking for a 4s machine now but building it myself is a non- starter. ☹️ Happy to fix and maintain but don’t have the time for a full build.

Full build takes me about 3-4 hours, how can you not have time for that?

While you can buy BNF freestyle quads I would be cautious if I were in your position. As Cheredanine stated, the initial build really doesn't take that long, half a day max. However, once you [inevitably] crash you'll have a game of "isolate the problem, repair, test, fly, crash, repeat" on your hands ...

If time is not a luxury then just be aware that your quad will spend a proportionate amount of time on the bench for repairs as it does in the air.

There seems to be quite a number of decent BNFs around at the moment.  Diatone make a number of them.  Catalyst machine works as well.  Diatone put fairly standard parts in theirs so replacing electronic bits with other better stuff later is not a problem.

If you are prepared to pay the postage CMW is defineatley the best option, comparing them to diatone is like comparing a Ferrari to a 2cv

It always amazes me that people build up an amazing looking quad... and then never fly it and put it on drone junkyard.  WTF.  There do seem to be some good things there, but I guess you don't know how second hand it is.

i agree, i think people try to get into the hobby, spend a small fortune but don't have the time to learn to fly and then sell the kit
they probably assume racing/freestyle quads fly themselves like a DJI camera drone
