As my Sony HX5V does not have a live out while filming i need a way to see what is in frame.

I';m thinking Sony CCD, or cheap eaby reversing camera etc cam mounted behind the camera so i can see the LDC screen on the camera.

Question is how close can one of these be mounted behind the camera and still have some degree of focus ?

Anyone used one of these ?

I don';t need this to be a perfect set up as it';s just a temp fix until i upgrade to a camera with AV out once i have the whole machine working well.

Just to Claire this is not for full FPV flight just to be able to see what the camera is seeing while flying line of site.

You might want to do what I';ve done.

I use an hx9v sometimes. Like your 5v it only has hdmi out.

Look on eBay and for about 20 quid u get an hdmi to composite video converter. You can then pipe it into your video transmitter.

Works a treat and good quality. Also you are seeing exactly what you are filming

I';ve seen these but for some reason on the HX5V the hdmi feed cuts out when you start to record.
