  • Bad Raven: I think a lot of us will have seen the published (leaked) training instructions to police officers on FPV, which was both incomplete and incorrect. Only the Little Hitler types will be comfortable treading any of that path!

  • Reman: Thought for the day - If a knowledgeable police officer stopped you and saw that you had a "600mW" VTX on your quad he'll get funny about it, But would even a VERY knowledgeable officer know what they were looking at if the same VTX had a professional looking label under the heat shrink that proclaimed that the VTX was in fact a 25mW unit?  :hmm:

downloading cleanflight & blackbox - for linux
« on: January 10, 2018, 11:56:39 »
Hi guys,
I'm still very new to all this & have spent some time ytubing etc. learning. I think it very likely I'll end up trying to build stuff for which I'll need an f/c configurator. I have downloaded Betaflight config. as a stand alone and want cleanflight & blackbox too but can't find any standalone downloads. To complicate things I've recently dropped windows in favour of linuxlite. I'm reading cleanflight was a chrome app but google have stopped supporting this. Do I  need cleanflight if I have beta?  :-/

update; I've found cleanflight as a zip file, downloaded it & extracted as per beta but am not able to open/run it from commandline as I can with beta...  :banghead:

If you are running Linux I would expect it to be a tar file rather than a zip.
All the apps that were chrome should be available from github somewhere.

I have now downloaded & extracted both;  cleanflight-configurator-2.1.0.zip and source code (tar.gz) from here: https://github.com/cleanflight/cleanflight-configurator/releases
I can't open either from command line in the same way as I can with beta (which was a zip from git.hub) so I'm stumped. I open beta with: ($) cd 'file address' then; ($) ./betaflight-configurator
so long as I spell it all right with no caps etc. it opens fine. I've tried every variation I can think of for cleanflight but no joy.
