Peeps,

I have hooked up the HC-SR04 Sonar module to the V2 board but it does not show up on MultiWinGUI!

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

have found that if you follow the hook up for power using the motor pins as per most descriptions it wont work
it requires a good 5v current so if you connect straight to a 5v ubec supply you will find it will work ok

Hi Firey1,

I tried that and still the Sonar appears not to be working or configured, not sure which.

I';ve attached a screenshot which clearly displays that Sonar is not activated.

Does it need to be configured elsewhere?

Cheers.

Jimbo Multi Wii doesn';t have sonar support yet its still being developed you might find a way to connect it via a I2c nav board on the main multi wii site but I havent seen any thing yet  ~~

What is the benefit to having a sonar fitted? I take it works on Megapirate then?

So I';ve fitted a sonar to my megaP crius and enabled it.  I';ve tested in terminal using ';test'; and ';sonar'; and all seems to be working ok.  Unfortunately when I switch to alt hold or loiter it starts to bounce up and down uncontrollably.
Any suggestions as to why guys?

120 day brutal post bump but did you ever get this problem sorted? With my sonar i get perfect altitude under about a meter but anything above that and u get exactly what you have described.

philtrum

its my understanding that sonar only works at close range to something
Many Thanks

I already limited it to 2m but maybe i will just lower it down to about 800 mm.

......

For future reference, limiting it to 800mm doesnt solve the problem. I now have 1 lightbulb less than i did earlier.
