Motor shaft too narrow.

Any ideas how to get round this problem.

The shaft one two of my SunnySky 2212 motor is a tiny bit on the small size. Fake motor from banggood I presume.

Though it was a problem with the bearings but fitted anew set and it's just as bad.

So any ideas how I can pack out the shaft so there is no slop between it and the bearing?

How much clearance is there?
You might be able to get shim steel thin enough to pack it, if not try thick thread lock.
I've also put a dab of silicon sealant in the bearing bore (only a tiny bit with a cocktail stick) just enough to stop it turning.
BTW Banggoods Sunnysky are not fake, I've had loads from them and never a fake one!
They got caught in 2014 with fakes and cleaned up their act after a lot of returns!
Here's how to tell:

Tiny clearance doubt I could shim it. Can't find a micrometer around so can't measure.

The motor makes horrible noise when running. I can feel the bell moving if I grip it and waggle.

Thanks I'll try the thread lock and see

Well going on that video all mine are fake.

Bashed up box and zip lock bags.

But then he didn't know what the balancing gunk was so I'll take his word with a pinch of salt.

All sorted thanks. ~~

Thread lock to the rescue.

Just need to balance the motors now.
